premium-business-cardsA business card is the staple for all companies and is an important part of the overall marketing activities. It serves as the face of the business and lets those who have your card associate you or the company as a reminder. With this in mind it is very important that it reflects the image and level of professionalism you with to portray. The following a brief guide to finding the best options for you and the things to consider.

When helping companies with their image or brand the first thing I ask to see is their business card. Looking at it gives me an immediate impression of how they market their business. More often than not, I usually suggest that they redo their image and create premium business cards. The following are some of the option I ask them to consider.

Embossed Business Cards

This type of card has a raised surface giving it a 3D type effect to it. When you hand out the type of business card you will usually see the person rub their fingers over the card appreciating the feel of it. This might not seem like a big deal but the motion alone provides more of an impact on them and the correlation to your business is automatically stronger.

Glossy Business Cards

These have a finish to them that is shiny, couple this with vibrant rich colors and you have a business card that also stands out from the pack. This option is considered premium and will cost a little more but again provides a different look and feel to the standard business card. Regular printers will be able to offer you this option so the pricing wont be that high compared to normal ones.

Other Types of Premium Business Cards

The above are just 2 options available for premium business cards, others include full color printing, double sided cards those that are done on non standard sizes. The final option is the quality of paper used, you can get thick card stock or some really fancy like tissue paper overlay type cards that are considered high end. Whatever you decide to choose, know that it is the face of the business and the card leaves an impression on the person you are giving it to. So don’t pinch on cost / quality to save a few bucks.
